Everybody thinks they know the band that is the most underrated on this website. Well, I think I know it too, and it's Sloan.
Sloan are legends in my mind. 12 albums, one lineup over 26 years, 4 songwriters, 4 singers and not a single bad album!
What Sloan has done is really unique and mind blowing. I don't know how a band can put out that amount of great music with the same 4 guys over 26 years and keep on being creative and awesome all along. That's just plain crazy, nobody does that (ok, Radiohead does, but that just proves my point!).
If you like bands like Spoon, Wilco and The Beatles, you have to check out Sloan! Any album will do, but Navy Blues, Between The Bridges and Never Hear The End Of It are my three favorites right now. But seriously, you can pick an album randomly in their discography and you won't be disappointed.

25/100 from OzzyO? Really? Do you really know Sloan, or are you just rating every damn thing on the website (2700 ratings) to pad your stats? Sloan is not band that's annoying enough to hate. I could understand not liking them, but they're not 25/100.
Regardless... Sloan is fantastic. They picked up the guitar-driven pop-rock mantle when everyone else was gravitating to grunge. Without Sloan, there's no Broken Social Scene, New Pornographers, or maybe even Arcade Fire. A Nova Scotian gem that more people should check out.
