Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)

This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 86.6/100, a mean average of 86.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 87.0/100. The standard deviation for this track is 10.5.

While I agree it probably would have been better on its own album, I still think it doesn’t hinder the album. It’s one of, if not the, best vocal performance by Jim Morrison. I (try) to harmonize every time in the car.

Great song. Very pretty. It's a shame it was left off the album Waiting For The Sun. It would have made a much better opening track than Hello, I Love You. The only complaint I have about this song is that because it was recorded 2 years before Morrison Hotel, it seems really out of place. The album sessions during which this was recorded was when they were going for a more calm, poppy vibe. When Morrison Hotel was recorded, they were getting back to their roots of Hard Rock, with a bit of blues style going on. I don't feel that at all in this song. So in a nutshell, Great song, should've been on its own album.
