This song came out while I was in high school and I remember taking the bus home around the time Someone Like You was released as a single. One afternoon, this song came on over the speakers playing the local pop station and nearly the entirety of a previously loud and rambunctious group of high school bus passengers went silent. We all just sat and listened to this beautiful and moving song from one of music’s preeminent artists.
I really love this song as is, but I will never forget seeing, first hand, the remarkable impact this song had and could have.
