Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track has a Bayesian average rating of 64.8/100, a mean average of 63.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 63.6/100. The standard deviation for this track is 19.7.

I donno, for a supposed button-pusher this feels pretty... safe. Offending the lowest common demoniator of social-media reactionary guards (nearly all of whom probably wouldn't actually consume your music or buy a ticket to your concert anyway) is pretty fish-in-a-barrel these days, especially with a target almost everyone is already shooting at. It speaks more to the current need for popular musicians to make some sort of statement, but it doesn't really matter how or what is actually said as here it's just a lot of borrowed phrases & buzzwords- that don't really challenge either those who would instantly support or attack the message. Again, if this gets your knickers in a twist yeah you should probably be put in diapers, the main crime here is how it brings an otherwise nifty & nimble pop album to a screeching halt, the finale just kind of combusting rather than bursting into flames. Also this just sounds really latter-day Pink-ish, we don't need anymore of that pls.

By no means a perfect track or a holistic representation of the true complexity of this issue but that abnormally low rating... holy hell is BEA triggered lmao
Wait I'd like to clarify my previous comment... I do like songs that critique patriarchal society I just don't think this one does enough. This falls into the same category as The Man by Taylor Swift... both are songs by rich white women that sound like they are from rich white women, completely ignoring how complex the female experience can actually be (this is where I draw the comparison to Hillary Clinton). It does nothing to acknowledge the issues that say trans women or women of color face on a daily basis. This song doesn't feel like something that is pushing feminism forward, it feels like something that is just capitalizing on surface level, mainstream white feminism. An example of a song that I personally think does a good job at representing quality intersectional feminism is Django Jane by Janelle Monae.

This song feels very faux feminist... like maybe a song that Hillary Clinton would have played at one of her rallies in 2016
