Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 88.0/100, a mean average of 86.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 88.7/100. The standard deviation for this track is 16.1.

People will look back here in 20, 40, 80 years and look at this as one of the biggest popsongs ever. Mark my words

For it's impact on pop culture, 10/10. For actual quality, 6/10.

Here's the thing: as ragged on as they can, big blazing over-produced synthpop tunes from the 80s are actually pretty damn good. For The Weeknd to offer a reworking of that format is cracking, and the production on this thing is beautiful.
But his voice doesn't feel like it's in it enough, and that riff is the only real moment this song feels exciting.
As a replica, this a great tune. Beyond that, however, the appeal just isn't there.
I can't understand the high rating for this song. It seems like an attempt at nostalgia but sounds clumsily produced. He has already exhausted this lyrical content in previous albums, and the song lacks ideas melodically. It's just okay.
Very likely to a Grammy ROTY or SOTY nomination
