Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 4% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 81.9/100, a mean average of 80.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 82.3/100. The standard deviation for this track is 15.4.

Builds beautifully. The instrumental section is first rate. The standard and level of musicianship is first rate and the vocals are on point.
A fine song, though it certainly didn't need to be nine minutes long considering how much of it repeats and how much "blank space" there is. The lyrics tell a good story of a man facing his drug addiction, albeit in a manner that's a little too simplistic for Genesis, but Collins' vocals are on point once again. The verses are fairly interesting, but it's the chorus that really shine. "Because tonight, tonight, tonight, ooooohhhhhh!" So pleasing to the ear. It should be obvious then that the best part of the song is the final couple minutes. As the chorus repeats to fade, Rutherford lays down some tasty guitar, Banks builds his synthesizers to a climax, and Collins inputs some excellent drum fills. A close second for best moment would be the final minute of the middle instrumental that hits right before the bridge. Overall, a strong song that could have benefited from being cut down in size a little bit.

It was used in a Michelob beer commercial back in the 80's.

The chorus sounds like a commercial...maybe it was at some point. The instrumental parts are strong.
A very cool song. A little long, but very cool.
