Decent track that has a nice bluesy swagger about it. Another of John Lennon's word playing songs, it's the only real substantial contribution that Lennon makes to the Let it be/Get back sessions considering that Across the universe was a year old at this time, which makes it all the more odd that, don't let me down didn't make it onto the final album. Presumably because it had already been released on the b-side to the get back single. Anyway, dig a pony is a good song, one of my favourites on the LP.
