Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 90.5/100, a mean average of 89.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 90.7/100. The standard deviation for this track is 13.4.

A masterwork! Beautifully realized and executed. One of the finest lyrical journeys in music history...
IMO Lennon's best song. It feels like the melody just fell down from heaven. Spector orchestration is also top.
One of their best songs, and absolutely the best one off of Let It Be
Just beautiful. Nothing more to say.
Although the lyrics are a little pretentious, across the universe, is still an absolutely beautiful song. It was originally recorded in early 1968, and it still has a kind of psychedelic feel about it. The added strings and backing vocals don't particularly enhance the song or take anything away in my opinion. Still, across the universe, is a lovely track, and one of the best songs on the Let it be album.
One of the most poetic lyrics ever crafted. And one of Lennon's best ballads. I would have put that one on Abbey Road instead of Maxwell's Silver Hammer to complete a perfect 1969 album.
what a song... a true classic
An overall beautiful song. No point stands out to me. You just have to let the song take you.
IMO one of the most beautiful songs ever written, I still get goosebumps when I hear it. wasn't crazy about it when it came out but over the years, it really grew on me
