Even though the Rolling Stones had released disco influenced songs like Hot stuff and Miss you, Emotional rescue still must have sounded absolutely bizarre upon it's release in 1980 and still sounds strange today. It really is an oddball, although absolutely brilliant excursion into the dance/disco scene. It's also one of the best tracks on an extremely disappointing album.
