I often assume this to be my least favorite track on Blue, which isn’t such a damning statement when it comes to an album like this.
However, Little Green is so purposeful in the context of Blue. Joni plays with colors to portray the child she is separated from as a source of hopeful light in a world so dark and cold.
Little Green crushes everything it sets out to do as a song, and crushes me each time I hear it.
