Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)

Flow. This tracks keeps almost all on-going topics on the album, it's awesome
What. An. Absolute. Jam.
The "feel good" song of the album and it's not hard to believe that Pharrell Williams was producing on this with it's super smooth feel and super catchy vibe. There's pretty much 2 chords on this album and one synth that repeats most of the track. Kamasi Washington is once again the most musically interesting thing on the record.
This song fits into the album fluidly. It keeps the flow and story going well, but on its own it stands taller than the rest of the album does alone.
Nice track, would probably be a standout on any other album. Blends in a little here.
Another track from the album with single power. The hook is booming and so catchy. The beat is mournful but hopeful at the same time. Perfect song to follow "u" up with.
This hook is flawless. Can bump this in my car easily
