Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a mean average rating of 93.0/100. The trimmed mean (excluding outliers) is 94.2/100. The standard deviation for this track is 12.8.

My favourite Pink Floyd song. Perfection. Two of the greatest guitar solos of all time included on this masterpiece.
Nos leva a outro mundo!
One of the most iconic guitar Solos of all time.
This song is still worth a 100/100 without the guitar solo, which I personally have never considered one of my absolute favourites of Gilmour. The smooth flow, dramatic, beautiful choruses and ethereal lyrics make this a true masterpiece.
Ok fine, I concede that that is probably the greatest guitar solo ever
Perfectly at peace.
If the second guitar solo lasted forever, I might not listen to any other music ever again.

I think this is the best song ever because within the context of the story of the album, it really gives the listener a look inside Pink's head in the Gilmour sung portion. It's sinister chord progression has no equal, along with the lyrics being very quotable. The melody is as catchy as anything, and last but not least the best guitar solo of all time ends off into the fade out as chills are sent down your spine and throughout the rest of your body. The live pulse version of the solo is even better, but still this is the best song of all time.
