The best live album for matching the energy and perspective of the audience with an empathetic performer. Possible only matched by Live at the Apollo.

Dude, what drugs have you been taking recently?
It's a good album. Liked it more than I thought I would. _________________ Submit Your List for BEA's 2023 Film Poll!

Wow! I was going to say something really close to that. Let me just expand a bit on what you said. There's a slightly creepy yet exciting and voyeuristic quality about this album. Most live albums are about the music and performance only, and especially ones recorded in some stadium, it's hard to imagine being there and experiencing the moment because the music is usually the primary focus. But with this one, the audience and setting are as important as the performance itself. There are so many moments where you are reminded of where this is taking place It's like being a fly on the wall, and you're a fly on the wall in a prison! Sure, the performance is great, but like a really great movie, it's more than a performance, it's an experience. Yeah. Live at the Apollo is the only live album that rivals At Folsom Prison for giving you the whole experience and allowing you to imagine what it would have been like to be there. Most live albums are pointless. This one definitely isn't.
