Welp, looks like the RON PAUL REVOLUTION won't be happening. I bet Gary's disappointed.

Did anyone actually expect Ron Paul to win?

I've met people who agreed with Paul's positions on social and domestic issues and I've met people who agreed with him on foreign policy issues, but no one who agreed with Paul on both. With a base like that, you don't have a base. If you don't have a base, you can't win a national election.

Leave it to The Onion to hilariously, and in a very unpolitically correct way, to point out a pathetic truth:

Laughing nice

You'd have to protect yourself from the alien thought thieves whilst at the same time cleaning out your diaper.

Did you see the poll results?

Money man has like 3X's more votes than Black man.

On the Onion poll? Confused

Anyway, the poll isn't the point. The point is that those descriptions pretty much encapsulate the two candidates. The choices are Tweedledee and Tweedledum. Ralph Nader used to make that argument about the two parties, and I'm starting to see his point. Sad

The Obama/McCain election is the only one in my lifetime where that "tweeldedum/tweedledee" scenario wasn't the case. That's because everyone thought he was the ultimate panacea! But lo and behold he's human! He has flaws. And no one is going to be able to magic that country into a good economy whilst at the same time standing firm with good social policy and making the right military decisions. That person doesn't exist. But I still think Obama is the USA's best shot.

I agree with you Mr. Shankly. I was just taken aback by Money man doing so well in a poll from the Onion.
