I think most Americans choose to associate with like-minded individuals (not identical). Often it takes a team effort to get something accomplished. Were you ever picked to be on a team? Did you follow the play or go your own way? Yes there are Democrats that hold some good Republican ideas but they are in the wrong boat going the wrong way. Perhaps someday they will right their course or jump ship.

No you're sort of proving Jack's point. Most people make their own minds up about each issue and come election time cast their vote for the party or individual whose policies tally most closely with their own opinions. It seems you lack the ability to make up your own mind and rely on the Republican party to do it for you.

I don't see how having a closed mind helps to be a team player, surely the opposite is true?
