Rockists, you know how much you like that 2-minute ending guitar solo in the Pearl Jam song "Alive"? This album is like it going on for HALF AN HOUR!!!!!
It's absolutely incredible.

Gainsbourg's best-known record is brilliant for sure, still, don't miss on 4 or 5 others that are almost as good as this one. I'd advise L'Homme à tête de chou, Vu de l'extérieur and Initials B.B. as well.

This album flows well and there's some personality to it, and also has a very complete feel where the songs belong together - not just for being pieces of a full story but musically as well. For some reason I haven't ever been compelled to try more of Serge's work. Perhaps I'll give a shot to what Norman suggested.

Cheers for the recommendations, I've heard bits and pieces, mainly compilations though. Will try and build a more comprehensive collection, beginning with these suggestions. Respect.
