I want people to dance to Ornette's "Lonely Woman" on both occasions.

Not sure about the wedding, might post about it later, but at my funeral it'll without any doubt be "Alone Again Or" by Love, then "Bird Gerhl" by Antony, and finally "Have Mercy" by Mighty Diamonds.

I hope I'll never get married, but talking about my funeral i'd probably choose Everybody Hurts by R.E.M.

Huh, I've thought about the funeral before, but not much about the wedding. Odd, really, since I am one of those people that would love to settle down with someone someday, and I don't particularly look forward to dying anymore.

Anyways, wedding I'd say at the actually wedding I'd love to go down the isle to something different. My cousin who got married got a string quartet with an acoustic bass like in a mariachi band instead of a string bass to play "Such Great Heights" as she walked down the isle, and then "All You Need Is Love" as she and her husband departed, rather than the usuals. I'd love something like that, but with "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out" and the (hopefully) lovely bride could choose the other song. Obviously nothing exact, but something like

At the reception, I'd love to hear this, for some reason I've always loved it. When I'm stressed this is what I think of to calm me down:

Maybe also Airborne Toxic Event's version of "The Book of Love", as I just love it so.

Funeral wise, I guess these two sort of bittersweet songs (I love me a good bittersweet song and there's not many that aren't just romantic):

and frankly I like this mashup/cover thing enough I'd sort of prefer it:
