Well obviously. It's still ridiculous, and it's even more ridiculous that people are believing it. I always tell people that there's a certain litmus test to do when you think a president should be impeached. You say "Ok, what law did they break?" and if you can't think of one, then they can't be impeached.

Yeah, I can't stand Obama and I like Fox and all, but that's a bit off.

Eh, these utopic, extremist left wing measures are great in theory, but impossible to execute and maintain in practice. Sure, it'd be amazing if everyone earned the same salary, but not if it leads to an economic collapse. Our current president got the office promising very similar things such as nationalization of retirement funds to be used for the unemployed and poor, along with nationalization of houses deemed "too big", yet he's found out the hard way that's not something you can do and not bankrupt the country.

I only half agree with you. It's better to push towards a better, fairer system, than just accept status quo because the Utopia is so far out of reach. Socialism and Communism could work in the ideal world. Will they? Probably not. But there's likely enough money to go around if handled incredibly well.

I think the biggest problem with modern capitalism is the idea that in contemporary (and moreso future) society, everyone needs to work. Work has been automated. Machines, computers, etc do the work of hundreds, thousands, so it's only natural that there's less work to be done. Most of the money being made is on wall street and banking rather than any real product

I've been a bit disconnected from the world for the past week. I was on a beach, pretty much off the grid, and meanwhile it appears the world has gone even further into chaos. What the fuck is happening?

1. Malaysian Airline flight shot down by Russia? Ukraine? Containing top AIDS researcher, among others on way to AIDS conference? Is this an act of war? Will this escalate the tensions between the USA and Russia? Fuck

2. Gaza. What can be said of this mess? Full scale ground war developing now. Children and loads of innocent civilians dying.

3. ISIS near ready to seize control of Iraq capital?

4. Humanitarian crisis on the US/Mexican boarder. Thousands of children crossing in seek of safe haven from bad situations in Central America

5. Germany winning the World Cup?

6. Last surviving founding member of the Ramones died.

what the hell is going on?

Don't forget Germany kicking the CIA director in their country out and Russia re-opening a spy base in Cuba.

Yeah, discovering a US spy in Germany plus Merkels phone being bugged by the NSA along with probably other shenanigans has lead to Germany being tired of America sticking it's nose in.
