About album of the day: The BestEverAlbums.com album of the day is the album appearing most prominently in member charts in the previous 24 hours. Anyway, the album's nice enough (not the Bernie album, The Band album. The Bernie album is magical.) but it doesn't do a whole lot for me as opposed to Music From Big Pink for which I have mad nostalgia and which I still think holds up well enough (better than this one anyway)
A truly great album. I remember when i managed to find one of the early vinyl releases of this thing in practically untouched condition. Certainly one of my favourite albums and, when considering big pink too, proof of the insane songwriting talent of this band
With the references to Lake Charles, LA I'm thinking more about the bad rain they are getting in southern Louisiana this month. Prayers to those who are facing extreme weather and flood warnings over there!
