What will the classical competition look like? Will be rating composition or performance? I am thinking of voting for my 10 favorite operas TBD if it is composition, or a bunch of Pavarotti, Ghiaurov, Ramey, Horne, Sutherland (the list goes on and on) if it is performance

Well, since this is an albums site, it will be the be the top 10 classical albums. I suppose that means both composition and performance. Do you like the Beethoven's 9th from Karajan or Bernstein (for example).

So if you are a Yo Yo Ma fan, then put a Yo Yo Ma album on the list. If you want to kill two birds with one stone and want to do Yo Yo Ma as a soloist to Brahms Cello Concertos then knock yourself out.

The only real rule is to submit 10 albums.

Great question.

Well the option was to do metal or punk vs doing electronic. Nobody responded, so I did electronic. We likely won't get to Metal or Punk until the end now... that's assuming that's how we want to slice up the parent genre of Rock since so many were against just doing that.

The concept basically is: your house just burned to the ground. You have money for 10 [genre] records, which would you buy and why?
