That's seriously up for debate. I'd say it's between Alone Again Or and The Red Telephone.

My pick is "Maybe the People Would Be the Times...".

I use the word 'lush' for this album. Anything better?

I don't know. I really loved it when I first heard it, and still rather enjoy it from cover to cover (with the exception of a couple songs), but there's something about it that just doesn't click with me. I think it's just too '60s for my taste. Still pretty damn good, though.

Oh, and "You Set the Scene" is one of my favorite songs and a top contender for best closer of all time.

I listened to it once a while ago, but I didn't really absorb it. Need to get around to listening to it again.

One of the best 60's "psychedelic" pop albums. I'd have liked it to be more...original (am I turning into Yourselfisntsteam?), but it's still good at what it's trying to do.

Haha I remember your 'lush' comment on the album I read some months ago, and I absolutely agree with it.

For the first time I listened to this album 4-5 years ago and I didn't like it at all. I have no idea why; maybe I just wasn't mature for it yet. And then years later I thought I will give it another listen, and then, when I started to listen to the album, from the first minutes I knew I will be in love with Forever Changes. It just blew my mind.

My favourite line from the whole album is the ending of the Red Telephone, 'they're locking them up today, they're throwing away the key. I wonder who it'll be tomorrow, you or me'. All the songs flow so perfectly together; and You set the scene is the perfect closer for this record.

Now I think this is one of the greatest albums of the 1960s and....possibly ever. (#10 on my chart)

It seems like my love for music doesn't change but my way of thinking does. Forever Changes.
