chvrches next to haim next to tegan&sara seemed a little coincidental.
the rolling stones will always love their grandad rock, from mccartney to elton to fogerty.. (i haven't heard the other 2, but the mccartney album is surprisingly good.)
Interesting "read" as the first such online-mag chart of 2013. I have a feeling a bulk of their top 8 will land in most online mag charts of 2013 (save for the extreme outliers like TMT and quietus). _________________ fav artists NOW | ALL-TIME favs | i listen 2 more music than u so u don't have 2!

What a disgusting top 5. But i guess thats what most top 5s are gonna look like. *Sigh*
Guessing P4ks will look the same but with less John Fogerty and more Foxygen. These kinds of lists do nothing for me. They just exist.

I hate how Rolling Stone always puts washed-up has-beens in the top 10. That Paul McCartney album wasn't even good.

It's a noob question, but why don't they wait till the year ends to publish these lists? Do people stop releasing music in December?

That's all they can do. There's so much to consider, too much to grasp. To leave their mark is just too much to ask...

Rolling Stone's top ten and my top ten have one album in common. RS's top ten literally only has four worthy albums there (Like Clockwork, AM, Trouble Will Find Me and RAM- although some could argue Modern Vampires of the City, but I've never really been a fan of Vampire Weekend).

Yeah, I mean I like looking through these lists, but my motives are usually for finding new interesting albums rather than wanting to sift through popular albums. I just get bored seeing the same things over and over. Seeing Trouble Will Find Me on this list and not seeing Nepenthe doesnt really matter to me. So yes, Id say my standards for lists like these are ridiculously high
