I was really hoping to fall in love with the Cleveland Cavs but I just can't do it and even found myself routing for the Heat & Dwayne Wade (of all people) on Christmas. They're just so darn unlikeable as a team thus far. Hopefully that changes.
I do enjoy watching the Memphis Grizzlies, GSW, & OKC play so maybe I'll latch onto one of them. And it's impossible not to respect the Spurs. They're a machine.
Hopefully, I just fall in love with the Dallas Mavericks now that they have my boy Rondo. I hear he's even playing defense again.
I have a hard time watching any sport if I'm not emotionally invested in a team.

What a bad time to be a Detroit fan.
Though it looks like it could be uphill from here going on what I've been reading into.

...and it appears the Raptors defensive sloppiness has caught up to them. This West coast swing has tempered expectations - it's not because Derozan is out; we're losing because we allow 40 points a quarter at least once a game. _________________ Finnegan was super bad-ass.

And now the hottest team in the NBA! Go Pistons! (Just kidding) This is the second professional sports team I've given up on, after the Lions.

Pretty great first half. Loving all the surprise success stories (Atlanta, Washington, Toronto) and GS is just killing it. I don't see an obvious favorite in either conference, though. Playoffs should be fun.

Not sure that Atlanta, Washington or Toronto is really a surprise (maybe Atlanta with their ridiculous record). All three were pretty easy picks to be playoff teams in the East. I'd say Milwaukee is the biggest surprise (and maybe how truly bad the Knicks are). _________________ Finnegan was super bad-ass.

It's the records I'm referring to. To be a playoff team in the East, you only need to win like 45% of your games, so the fact that they were picked to make the playoffs isn't saying much. As it stands now, Washington and Toronto won about 2/3 of their games (better than the Spurs) -- even as an optimistic Wizards fan, I can't say I was expecting that.

This did not surprise me.

Atlanta have definitely surprised. I always felt like they were going to be good, but what they've done so far has been absolutely phenomenal. Just further support for my theory that the league is moving away from big three based teams towards well-rounded rosters with tons of ball movement and great coaching.
Still waiting on the Rondo Mavs to become more consistent. Warriors just gotta keep doing what they're doing.

I have no real words for what just happened. By far the best quarter of basketball by an individual player I've ever seen. Historic.
I'm really glad we didn't trade him.

Someone was trying to get me to trade Thompson in fantasy yesterday. He was giving a good deal, I came out way ahead overall, but I just couldn't convince myself to do it.
I guess I was a little bit right. _________________
