Didn't want this thread to die, so here it goes...
Several big-name comics have released specials so far in 2023. I've seen the latest from Lewis Black, Wanda Sykes, Marc Maron, Christopher Titus, Jim Jefferies, and Chris Porter (and I saw the first half of John Mulaney's but I've never liked him, nor understood his appeal; I was outnumbered by my roommates who turned it on, thought I'd give it a shot...and yep, I walked out midway through). Sykes and Titus had the funniest specials imo. I was pleasantly surprised by Maron, whose past specials never really meshed with me, but I really dug this one. He had better material to work with for his dry pessimistic style, but at the same time he showed a compassionate side as he opened up about the loss of a loved one, and was able to extract humor from his mourning.
Anyone have some faves they want to share?
