Right on some of these, wrong on some.
Grizz can't beat OKC, even with Westbrook out.
"Grizz over Nuggets in a classic old-school series" ??? Classic old school series? The Grizzlies haven't even been around 20 years... nothing classic or old-school about it.

Old-school style. Not old-school franchises. The Grizz play a team-first, post-focused, defensive game. The Nuggets play a team-first, speed-focused, offensive game. Neither team has a clear-cut superstar. It would be an interesting series.

It's been a really long time since I've heard anyone use those words to describe anything to do with the NBA....

The heat are a great example of Team first.

How long? How about that 03-04 Detroit championship team? Not one superstar on that team.

The Spurs championship teams were all very much Team first. They had a superstar and some stars, but nonetheless they played as a team and won 4 rings in the process.

Indeed... but he can't defend against bigger guards. He'll be in trouble against Felton, Wade, or George Hill.

yeah that is true but the bulls are probably one of the handful of teams that can mask his shortness

On a somewhat related topic... Good for Jason Collins. First openly gay pro athlete in the big 4 N. American sports.

My picks:
OKC over Houston in 6
Spurs over Lakers in 6 (unfortunately ๐Ÿ™ )
Grizzlies over Clippers in 7
Denver over Golden State in 7

Miami over Bucks in 4
Chicago over Brooklyn in 7
Knicks over Celtics in 6
Pacers over Hawks in 6

Well, from the first round, only Denver disappointed my picks. My numbers were way off though. So many damn injuries that first round. Okay, time to make my picks for the next round.

Miami over Chicago in 4, possibly 5. (Not sure what kind of explanation to give. It's the Heat. I hate them, but boy do I respect their basketball. LeBron James is on a mission to cement his name among the greatest to ever play. Oh, and whoever thinks Kobe doesn't deserve to be considered with talking about the greatest of all time, you're wrong. Anyway, LeBron is headed there too. I'm not a fan of the guy, but there is no way this guy is going to be satisfied with one ring. He's hungry.

New York over Indiana in 7 (Now that Lakers are gone, I want New York to win. Pacers gonna be tough as hell though. Knicks need to play hard every game though. They should have swept Boston. Get back to the offense that worked before. Oh, and stop giving up big leads. That shit won't fly in the playoffs.)

Memphis over OKC in 6 (With Westbrook out, now Memphis only really have to keep Durant in check, though rest assure this will be no easy task. No real star on Memphis, except arguably my boy Z-Bo. Tough guy, did you see him get down with Blake Griffin? They got Marc Gasol, defensive player of the year, and other solid players, just look at Conley. They remind me very much of 2004 Champions, Detroit. They even have Tayshaun Prince. Just a well rounded team. Still, never be too quick to count out Durant.)

San Antonio over Golden State in 4 (Come on now, Golden State surprised everyone in the first round. Ugly last win though. It showed how young and inexperienced they are. They'll have more energy than San Antonio, but San Antonio just has the basketball IQ and experience on their side. They're just going to outplay the Warriors. Then again, I wouldn't be surprised in Golden State stole so much as 2 games! Why? Stephen Curry, most blatantly snubbed All-Star this year. Are you kidding me? He broke the record for most 3-pointers in a regular season. Just such a talented scorer. And wtf... David Lee is back already?)
