BEA is a very calm place right now. Trouble seems to be bare minimum or non-existent. Despite differences at times, people have fallen into coexisting.

Rather than jinx this good run, I would like to see how people are getting along well in life. So this is made for people to say anything which may be troubling them. Sure Random Chat is good for such things but having this thread here may give an outlet for people who are too nervous to open up over there. Plus there will always be BEA users who are able to help you. I am sure you can find many helpful advice on here. Smile

So is anything troubling you right now? Even if it is something you think is small or silly I'm sure a kind word by someone here will go a long way. How is your life right now?

I'm nervous about staying motivated to do schoolwork. It's pretty bad right now. I was able to do well last semester, but I'm falling back into old habits.

I'm also stressed about my romantic interest living in Florida. We video chat almost every day and blah blah blah, but still, there's some longing.

Also I haven't masturbated in like 3 months and it's like why am I doing this?

I think death probably is the answer.

But in all seriousness, a feeling of monotonous stagnancy is almost synonymous with your high school teen years. Just wait until you've graduated, after which you feel much more agency over your life's direction and it's very liberating - I'm pretty sure I was having a similar talk about this with Brandon about his teenage ennui.

I hate to use the word "problem" for my situation. It's really not that bad, but I'm a little stressed right now, trying to balance a huge amount of schoolwork along with the current process of applying to study abroad in France this coming summer.

I can definitely feel you bro - I'm taking the term off, but atm I'm applying to transfer universities, singing in two bands, producing a sitcom, running a D&D campaign as DM, working two part-time jobs and recently stopped tutoring and guitar teaching.

Try to work some yoga, meditation, exercise or physical activity into your daily routine to help relieve stress and "center yourself" (if you'll forgive my hippy-dippy new wave speak just there). Buy incense or soothing candles for your room like lavender. Can do a world of difference.
