Abstaining. Both are brilliant and I love each of their styles equally. I think that Carlos' style is more lovely than Django's, but he (Django) brings something more to the table. The solos are just insane (Django's that is).

Yeah, this feels much more like a third round match than first. Both are spectacular. It's gonna be really tough for anyone to beat Django.

I'll most likely be voting Django for the whole tournament, but I did have a lovely couple of hours listening to Paredes earlier on. Some beautiful stuff, but Django's been a bit of a hero of mine ever since I went to a gypsy jazz festival held in tribute to him when I was twelve and subsequently convinced my dad to get me a couple of his albums. A genius, and a man whose music I could listen to for days on end without getting bored.

It'll be difficult to come up with a compelling reason to vote against Django for the entirety of the tournament, and that's no slight to Paredes. Django is one of my few legitimate guitar idols and would probably be my first response if someone asked me who I thought the best guitarist of all time was.

Same. Django would get my vote in a close match, but this margin doesn't do Paredes justice.

While I may find Django to be a bit annoying after listening for more than 30 minutes, and even though Paredes is very pleasant to listen to; Django is such an outstanding, outerwordly guitar player that I simply can't not give my vote.

Damn his stubbornness for never trying electric guitar. (as far as I know). He is one of the very few players who seems to have a connection with his instrument that goes beyond simply playing it.

Two great players - two different music and playing styles. Had to go with the more groovy style on this...
