Long time since I heard this but he singles are immense.

Oh shit this album is my jam. Those beats are just so crisp. Could probably live without a couple of those tracks on in the album's final third, but on the whole this record is remarkably consistent, with the constant rotation of guests giving it the feel of a really intense house party. Also, when I was growing up in Birmingham, every young Asian lad (Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi, as opposed to Oriental) with a car would be invariably blasting this album as they drove past. It's funny how you associate certain albums with certain images, and young Asians driving their dads' Mercs into college are inextricably linked to 'The Next Episode' in my head. Anyway, I think that's quite enough racial stereotyping for one post. 'Xxplosive' is quite possibly the best song ever. "All the true gangsters know Nate ain't never loved no ho." I adore this album.

I just wish he'd cut out the dumb lyricism and gone for quality over quantity.
