Really boring dream pop release. It neither sounds like you are in a dream, nor it sounds catchy. Instead it sounds like a pretty artifical and dull music, and i get bored when listening to it extremely quickly.
While often beautiful, snd’s tracks are so minimal and repetitive in themselves, that a whole album of one flavour is just exhausting, if not utterly redundant.
So what does Sunn O))) sound like then? They don't have the textural majesty of Earth and they definitely don't have the experimental boundary-crushing antics of Boris, Sunn O))) really doesn't have anything going for them. They can show you the very bare-boned basics of drone, but God forbid you ask them to do anything meaningful with that sound. The typical Sunn O))) albums consist solely of about an hour of unchanging guitar feedback (I like minimalism and all... but fuck THAT noise!), no real soundscapes are ever produced, leading me to simply believe that despite their love of Earth that the band themselves don't even understand drone metal. To be honest, the decision to review this specific Sunn O))) album was almost entirely an afterthought. Any slight variation in their other albums is so shamefully irrelevant it is baffling.
Quasimoto is an acquired taste. Once you get into him, you'll love "Americas Most Blunted" but a whole album of this shit (and none anywhere as good)? N*gger, plz!
"It's incredible to listen to the seriousness and intimacy of this record, and then try to come to terms with what literally is making these beautiful sounds..."- RYM
What about images and videos though? I can't find any typos or anything. Also, font brackets seem to work, it's only inserts that don't.
I actually don't know how it happened, but as I said, all of them are like this
https// instead of https://
edit: Right, the "colon", forgot the word lol...
It's weird because it looks like Saoirse was using the "insert BEA link" feature and it still ended up this way

Defago, can you make it so the poll options are in the order displayed in the title? I meant to vote for 2003. Can we calculate that in the final tally? _________________ Submit Your List for BEA's 2023 Film Poll!
