The issue isn't who can get on a Times' poll list. The issue is who has a better than 1% chance of being elected President.
Ron Paul will never be President. If you'd like to make a money bet on it, I'll be happy to oblige.

All Bluenote did was say that Ron Paul will not be the next president of the USA and I don't see anything controversial about that...
As for the list, well maybe it's my ignorance but when you've never even heard of half of the top ten you have to question it's credibility.

I really don't think that's a sign of lack of credibility. Lots of people doing great work often don't get the fame that should come with it. And most of the 'known' names on the list aren't really doing all that much. I mean 'Benedict Cumberbatch'? The guy's a great actor but I mean...c'mon.
I especially like seeing Asgar Farhadi so high seeing as his great film A Separation is showing the world that Iran does have a worthy film industry.
Although I do think that Ron Paul is so high (like a lot of these peopl) only because they have crazy internet fan clubs that all message each other demanding they vote for their favourite. And no one has a crazier internet fanbase than Ron Paul.
