I'm excited for it, I liked The 2nd Law, though I'd say that was their worst album. The Resistance and Black Holes are both two of my favorite albums ever, so yea, I'm pretty pumped.

Dude you gotta listen to it. this is really really good. its a mixture of everything theyve ever done.

Alright, I'll bite. You got a link?

EDIT: Forgot I wasn't allowed to link to torrents. Just look it up on KAT.

you could always pm someone and dropbox it to them.....

Much less painful than I expected, I'd even go as far as to say it's good!

Better than The 2nd Law and The Resistance, IMO.

I haven't heard it yet, because my Uni's internet is really frustrating and I can't torrent anything for some reason, but I imagine this will be quite a lot better than The Resistance and The 2nd Law. The Handler is excellent, and I'm a big fan of Mercy too.

Listening right now.

Not the worst of theirs but not the best.

I think the problem with Muse albums since Black Holes is that they are a collection of possibilities for live shows. The first few albums were great whole pieces. The last three have been, for me, a collection of songs that I think "yeah, I can hear that live." Some bands start this way, some never get to that point.

Muse is now an institution in music. People will praise and people will ridicule. It doesn't matter. They have connected with enough people to get the album sales and the bums on seats (or out of them).

NB: 'Defector' is on now. Not sure what to think.

Excluding Black Holes, I agree with that.

I've never looked at it this way before.

Personally, I'm inclined to conclude that Matthew Bellamy has simply run out of inspiration. The music is terribly mundane, which is quite sad considering the promise of their first three releases. His manic episodes and the drugs probably haven't helped much either.

I definitely think Muse makes their music with live shows in mind, and they probably sound better live too, but I think it's far from Matt's goal to just make a song that sounds good live. Excluding The 2nd Law I think every one of their albums are great and different in their own ways. For Drones, I think it's one of their best albums yet and a great addition to their catalog.

Why people dislike Muse so much I will never understand, but to each his own.

Lyrics aren't the greatest, but c'mon, they aren't that bad.
