One of my favorite albums of all time. My second-favorite Pink Floyd album (behind Animals). My son really likes this album too, he picks it out all the time when we listen to my vinyl collection (I think it's the album cover). Some of David Gilmour's best guitar playing, "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" is just an incredible work, the whole thing is really. One of the most important albums in my listening history, I don't think it'll ever be bumped out of my overall

Shine On is a bit long, I tend to lose interest near the end. However, Gilmour's irresistible when he lets loose.

The title track is a lovely ballad, but Cigar and Machine are clumsy lyrically and just kinda unpleasant musically - especially those horrid synths on Machine.

Love it. One of their best (I probably slot it in behind Animals), which makes it one of the best of all time. I've been on a serious Pink Floyd bender this week and just marveling at their run from 1973-1979. Unreal.

This is my favorite from Pink Floyd, mostly because of Shine On You Crazy Diamond.
