It's ok. I don't think it deserves the #20 overall rank though IMO. It didn't age well either.

Used to find it overrated, but now I really enjoy it.

One of my favorite albums of ALL TIME!

I think the momentum and energy built up in this album, while still maintaining strong pop sensibilities, is unparalleled compared to anything released beforehand. It's got a great story that led to one of rock's most popular alter egos. Individually each of the songs is fantastic (except It Ain't Easy, which I find just good, too much like Hunky Dory). Mick Ronson brought forward the slick, flamboyant guitar solos that glam rock became so well known for. Many of the songs are very soulful, much like "Changes" on his previous record.

In the end, though, I know it's one of my favorites because I can't play a single song without singing through the whole album.

"TO BE PLAYED AT MAXIMUM VOLUME"

damn right. There's no better way to enjoy this masterpiece, what a fantastic album. Literally not a single weak track on there, and Mick Ronson's guitar playing is to die for, especially on "Moonage Daydream", one of the best solos around.

Used to be a favourite. Not so sure now. Tend to prefer Hunky Dory and Aladdin Sane from that era.

This is one of the few albums where I can't seem to find the song that makes me think, "well, it's part of the album and its only a few minutes so I'll just listen to it anyway." This record carries me from star to finish and that makes it pretty great in my book!

This is probably my favorite Bowie album and the last I really enjoyed from him. I'm not a fan of the Berlin trilogy and any of his subsequent albums. No weak tracks, just pure brilliance.
