the Clash and Danny Brown selections are completely baffling to me, but the rest of this is a decent if somewhat boring Scaruffist chart.

EDIT: and especially Death Grips lmao how did i not notice that before /mu/ confirmed

This is one of my favorite charts I've come across in the past six months, largely due to the jazz enthusiasm and a few jazz recs I've gotten from it. I will say that its rock picks are largely dissatisfying though. Wish he would participate in the music discussion a bit more. Special kudos to including Perelman

Considering that XXX is clearly just a stepping stone to what he pulled off on Old.

Thanks

lol my rock selections may be a bit off based but I don't really come from a rock background or even a jazz background. I just got into these two genres not so long ago but have come across all these great records. I just put what I like, enjoy, and gets me in an emotional trance. And yes my tastes have been influenced by scaruffi, but like I said I just put what I like. Scaruffi has showed me lots of amazing music, but I also like music that scaruffi doesn't like (see Smiths, Death Grips and Clash). I'm a big Morrissey/Smiths fan but Scaruffi doesn't think much of them lol.
