Hello BEA! I am a very simplistic poster, so bear with me. The genres that I mainly listen to are Ameripolitan & country, but I do dabble in a bit of other genres like Cajun music, zydeco, rock, metal, blues & jazz.

I'll ante-up a few.
Rockin' Sidney – My Zydeco Shoes Got The Zydeco Blues
Includes "My Toot-Toot" which in 1984 became the first zydeco song to become a million seller.
Boozoo Chavis - Who Stole My Monkey?
Just a nice but naughty zydeco album
Jo-El Sonnier - Cajun Roots
A fine mix of Cajun, zydeco & country with French lyrics.

Actually, that's pretty cool. We need a few new flavours around here. _________________ Submit Your List for BEA's 2023 Film Poll!

I got into Cajun music/zydeco through country music. It was through artists like Jo-El Sonnier and Doug Kershaw who did Cajun music/zydeco and country music. Their country careers would get them on radio and TV. Some of their country songs were Cajun music/zydeco influenced and on their TV appearances (country music related programs) they would from time to time be afforded the chance to actually perform one of their Cajun music/zydeco songs. Also from time to time on those country related programs Cajun music/zydeco artists like Rockin' Sidney and Buckwheat Zydeco would get to perform.
