Wait, are you supposed to try getting into this band? The one single's nice soft-rock fodder, but I've never met a single music nerd who gives a darn about their albums. I don't know if even many users here will complain if we politely leave them alone.

EDIT: Wait a second, Pitchfork considers them to be a twee band in one of their reviews. Do you know anything about this, Suedeswede?

maybe not in 2016, but back in 2003, i remember a handful of hipster friends defending their "older stuff".

I'm sorry but I consider myself a bit as a music nerd and I do like Snow Patrol especially Eyes Open which I have put as the best album of 2006 above Built To Spill and Sonic Youth which also happen to be favorite bands of mine. I must admit though that Final Straw isn't very good.

Yup this is pretty close to my feelings, Eyes Open is a really good album but everything else they've put out is far more singles oriented, including this. Run and Chocolate are both alright but it's not worth everything surrounding them.

Whenever I'm trying to make a point about how intense some metal or noise act are, I usually say something to the tune of "they make Darkthrone look like Snow Patrol" or something. Make of that what you will

Lemme clarify and say that I think TDAG, Foiled, Uprooted, and Carnavas are better than the Snow Patrol record, but 3/4 of those are on my overall and the other floats right outside
