Late Registration by Kayne West is one of the best albums of the 2000's. It is definately meant to be heard as a whole, as the songs follow each other brilliantly, usually contradicting the theme of the one that preceded it.

I agree completely, though watch out! This thing is a beast of Blonde on Blonde proportions. meaning that it is long and contains a massive amount of lyrics. totally worth it though, just takes about 5 listens to fully appreciate it.
One of my recent favourites is Hell Hath No Fury by Clipse. It is very dark but very smart. The beats are so trippy.
Oh and how could I forget The Blueprint by Jay-Z. That album has a certain feel and rythm to it that is hard not to like.

its clear theres not many people who listen to any hip hop here
so to get srt8 to the point, 80% of hip hop you hear on radio, mtv etc. after about the year 98' or so is not considered hip hop by us hip hop purist who actually are a part of the culture and understand it.

And exactly why you hip hop purists do not consider hip hop of 98 to date to be hip hop anymore? What changed exactly?
I'm sorry but tha comment sounds like a little Wynton Marsalis of jazz to me.
