They get a bad rap for being fun - catchy rather than deep. A tad unfair maybe, but I agree on the whole. I quite liked this album for a while after I first heard it, but I'll say I haven't listened to it for a long time. Haven't wanted to either. There's some alright songs here, but it's a little insubstantial for my taste. It was released the same year as Arctic Monkey's debut, and unfortunately, Luke Pritchard's lyrics were completely trampled by Alex Turner's. The Monkeys were just better songwriters and musicians period. Pity. These guys had the potential to be better than they turned out.

Actually really enjoyed this album, not exactly a classic but 4/5 very decent songs. Seaside, Naive and Ooh La stand out from the crowd. I feel that they ran out of good songs towards the end, and maybe should have left it as a shoter album. But yeah, not bad probably a 6/10 or so.
