I have a classic rock albums page on facebook and was doing some poking around on Google and this site came up. For the past few years that I've been running the page, one of the more frustrating things is the lack of, or the generality, of when albums were released - as in a specific date. So I'm constantly trying to pin things down, as much as my personal time will allow (which isn't much). I keep hoping to stumble across a database where someone else has already done all the work. There are a couple, but in the specific genre I'm working with, there isn't much. Anyway, any site - regardless of genre - where people have information on music and albums and such, I am very much interested in. Very glad to have found this and look forward to my time here.

I got here today and I don't even remember how. It was probably less than an hour ago and I got lost in all the rankings so quick, I forgot how I got here. Cool

Got here after listening through the rolling stones top 50 list - then hearing ok computer as recommended by a friend - realized it was better than all the ones on the RS list and found this site that seemed to have a more reasonable "best of" albums list.

Been lurking around here for several years now.

Was reading a review of David Hepworth's book about 1971 and Bob Stanley said that the best year for your music was probably in the early years of starting to buy albums. In 1979 I was 13 and bought a lot of albums and so decided to try and find a list of all albums out that year, this was first link on Google and I've got no further. Very Happy
