Hey, that was cool. I really liked it. I I liked all those springy guitars exploding all over the place. It was cool.
I really don't know what sub-genre I'd call it. I don't know why anything can't just be Rock anymore. I grew up in the time when people didn't give everything its own separate genre. Everything was just called rock basically. And it was enough just to specify for instance, metal or punk or country rock or something. You didn't need to go any further than that. Heh heh.
Bandcamp always have such cool stuff though. You never know what you're going to hear. Ha ha

Sorry that was based on the featured song First Failed Escape.
Thing with this album is it just does whatever the hell it wants from the samples I saw.
Yeah genres these days... it's like you gotta have something hip to call something regurgitated... idk.
It's a bit like what do you really call Arcade Fire. Sure you can call it indie rock or alternative or whatever, but idk, you might as well call it rock at that point because none of those terms actually mean Arcade Fire. One moment Arcade Fire dabbles with sounds from the Pixies to The Supremes to ABBA to Talking Heads.

Thanks exploding all over the place seems like a pretty accurate description, i love it :L
The problem with labeling everything just plain old Rock is that you can create misconceptions about your music. I think a lot of people see 'Rock' and think of power stance, big riffs and televisions being thrown out of windows ...
The good thing about having a ridiculously specific micro genre like say, Pirate Metal, is that as a listener you largely know what you're getting.
I've been labeling our stuff as Power Pop but I'm not sure it's jangly enough to qualify :L
Indie and alternative are good suggestions thanks guys!
