I just bought some new headphones and a friend of mine mentioned this concept to me. I'd never heard of this phenomenon nor ever tried it. I since have done some google searching and found that it's a very controversial theory. Some believe in it wholeheartedly and some say it's all psychological B.S. I'm curious. What all do you think of it? Is it real? Is it bunk? What is your personal experience burning-in headphones? Which methods do you think work best?

For those of you unaware as I was, here's a detailed explanation:

I think there might be something to it because I do think the headphones I bought sounded better in the store than when I first listened to them out of the box (I was kind of disappointed).
