Crime Mob's video has about 3 min of silence at the end, just a head's up.

I would say the whole "American Idiot" thingamabug sounds horribly dated these days, but it really was a pretty standard GD album with a far more inflated sense of social relevance from a band that was geniunely great at singing songs about getting stoned and masturbating and nothing else. It's fine in small doses, which "Jesus" is not. But... I'm not really into that Crime Mob song either, tbpf, so I don't know might just abstain or vote unenthusastically for CM in the end.

'Knuck' is a madness. So hype. So many hype flows. Such a strange Close Encounters beat. Mad shit.

Never was a big Green Day guy, but when the lyric sheet for the competition has a lyric followed by "x10", not to mention all the other repetition of both individual words (usually beginning with 'n' and musical (if you could call it that) phrases, the choice of the former becomes very easy.

I really, really like early period Green Day. You know. Kerplunk. Dookie. Even Nimrod. And then... <vomit emoji>

Crime Mob.

Sorry, Purplepash!

God both of these feel like such a relic. I'll agree that this political kinda rock-opera attempt that American Idiot was really isn't what Green Day should be about. I was never much of a fan of that album, and though there might have been times when I enjoyed it more, I can hardly go through 9 minutes of Jesus of Suburbia now.

Crime Mob's song is a decent take on a sound that I really don't care about.

KNUCK IF YOU BUCK is the first hip-hop track in the tournament that I actually dig... likely due to what Skinny calls hype flows. There's a lot of great energy on this track and if it were up against something less awesome, I'd totally vote for it.

But in the end I actually don't find Green Day's effort as inflated or pretentious or whatever - I think their commentary is pretty kosher with the stasis and could consider myself a second rate Green Day fan... not sure I can spell Crime Mob.
