EDIT: Also, welcome to BEA! Sorry to just jump all over your first post like that. I guess we're all just a little confused because in this community it's pretty well accepted that Forever Changes is a psychedelic album. However, now I'm intrigued. Why do you disagree?

I'd go for psychedelic pop with hints of baroque pop (great orchestration).

It's an extremely psychedelic album. "Old man" probably has the highest number of modulations in pop music history.
