WOO!
Definitely a Rush classic. I had the honor of seeing this entire album performed live on their Time Machine Tour. Rush is definitely an act worth seeing, by the way. Even if you're not THAT big on them, they put on an incredible show.
Anyway, back to the album. This is their second best next to Permanent Waves, in my opinion. As for the individual songs:
Tom Sawyer: Classic. This is one song that never gets old for me. It's got some great drum and bass work, and its beat manages to be infectious throughout, even through the 7/4 passages.
Red Barchetta: It's certainly a great tune, but even I have to admit that the lyrics are a little corny. That doesn't necessarily hurt the song for some people, but admittedly this one's one of the weaker ones on the album for me.
YYZ: Okay, it's just way too fun to resist. The entire band (especially Neil and Geddy) has a heyday with this one, and its got some of the best full band interplay I've heard on any album.
Limelight: A gorgeous song with a beautiful message. All there is to it.
Camera Eye: An epic song with some more incredible drum work. This one has some of their best vocal melodies, as well.
Witch Hunt: It manages to be creepy and beautiful at the same time. Another great work.
Vital Signs: Easily the album's highlight. Very catchy and the perfect way to end a great album.

Fly By Night>>>>2112>>>>>Moving Pictures
But still, this is an amazing album. A bit poppy at times, but still having amazing songwriting and even better musicianship.

- Complains about Moving Pictures occasionally being "too poppy"
- Favourite Rush album is Fly By Night

I'd recommend it. It's one of my personal favorites, though it's nothing like the stuff they did in the '70s. It's not quite as progressive, but it's a lot more guitar-driven than the three albums that preceded it (Grace Under Pressure, Power Windows, and Hold Your Fire), which makes it a significant improvement in my book.
