That's a good question, but whether or not people are born with it, an individuals environment will determine whether or not they acquire (or keep it, depending on whether or not you think we are born with it). _________________
What Naples is trying to say is that we shouldn't infringe on the rights of individuals for the rights of groups. For example, we shouldn't subscribe to ideas such as affirmative action because they give special priority to groups as opposed to that of the actual skill of an individual themselves and could even go so far as to cost skilled individuals their job in exchange for easier occupation for the group. This itself is an interesting debate we can have in another thread.
However, gay marriage isn't some sort of civil rights "special treatment" service - no one is giving up any rights to allow gays to get married. _________________ A dick that's bigger than the sun.
