Ok, instead of starting another discussion about hip hop, which will invariably turn into a shouting match with racial insults, just put up your favourite Hip Hop tracks. The idea here being hopefully turning someone who doesn't usually listen to the genre onto it...

I'm going to start things off with a few of my all-time favourites:

Digable Planets - 9th Wonder (Blackitolism) (album: Blowout Comb)

Link

Del Tha Funkee Homosapien - Catch A Bad One (album: No Need For Alarm)

Link

Nas - The Message (album: Stillmatic)

Link

A Tribe Called Quest - 1nce Again (album: Beats, Rhymes & Life)

I really don't like Hip Hop much... but I do love the Jazzmatazz stuff that Guru did, so here's some of those:

Ok I'm gonna listen to every track posted on here so don't hold back. I'd call myself a big hip hop fan but am well aware that there's plenty out there I've never heard so the more obscure the better.

Here's some of my own:

Chemical, I'll review your tracks when I've heard them all but I expect some feedback in return!

Ok so the first track Digable Planets I really liked and I have the discography downloading now Very Happy

The second track (Del Tha Funkee Homosapien) was good, really annoying siren like noise over the chorus bit which sort of ruined it for me but worth another listen I'll favourite the Youtube page.

The Message is one of the strongest tracks from It Was Written (equal with Take It In Blood IMO). Not one of my favourite Nas tracks but it's still strong.

1nce again is like an inferior version of Check The Rhime (my favourite ATCQ track) and I don't really like it sorry. TBH I don't particularly like the whole album.

Not gonna post anymore tracks cos I don't wanna take over the thread, maybe tomorrow.

Let's start with a classic

My favourite Outkast track:

One of my very favourite songs from last year

(aaand if you liked that song, how about this)

And I know hip hop isn't exactly the right genre to promote Slovenian music, but hey... why not.
This one has a nice video to go with it (and if you like it, there's more fun videos from the guy on youtube)

My favourite ever rapper, unfortunately I can't make you understand the language, so I'll pick two songs that are musically as great:
