If Mitt Romney wasn't such an smug, self-entitled, multimillionaire asshole who looked down on those less fortunate, I'd feel sorry for him. The Republican party is telling him he's no longer wanted (Ain't that a bitch!).

And then the fallout:

Reminds me of a song:

Okay everyone, let the thread die. It doesn't need to continue as Romney will no longer be relevant for this rest of history.

True, but he hasn't gone away. Read the first news story, and the second. It deserved a comment. Romney hasn't gone completely away yet.... Also, when did you get it in your head that you're some kind of leader around here?

Im actually really interested in what Mitt Romney said, about how Obama won... that he gave "gifts" to the voting blocs that voted for him (again they didn't vote for him 100 percent), whatever the hay that means (just a really bad use of diction I suppose)... I suppose the way of explaining it is that he promised or gave them whatever policy that would benefit them in his first term to secure their vote... like he didn't do that for the stockholders, oil companies and religious right with his own proposals or half-hearted "suggestions"... and Im sure many of his supporters will be glad to spin it but it was still a really stupid thing to say so soon after the election, an extreme sore-loser response. Have to read into it more, but he sure could've bowed out with a lot more class rather than sound like just another angry partisan pundit.

Yes, BO gave to his voters. "Free" birth control for the women, loan forgiveness for the students, amnesty for the illegals, waivers for the unions, black pride for the blacks, phones for the poor, marriage for the gays, etc. He didn't get the vote of the rich and the corporate types because he didn't give gifts but instead threatened higher taxes, mandatory health care. It's hard to beat Santa Claus.

Most of those things you mention don't actually cost much public money, so why are they "gifts" instead of just being attractive policies?

I don't understand how it's a criticism that Obama's policies appealed more to certain groups than Romney's. Just because those things you mention aren't important to a old straight white guy doesn't mean they're not important to other people.
