hey i joined a while ago but never really got into the site much.

Just from what i see on the site, it seems the tendency is to favour the old classic albums (beatles, pink floyd, etc). I really like hearing new music because it's always changing and growing and building off of the music of the past.

most of you will probably think my charts are too indie or modern which may be true, but regardless they are full of incredible albums by incredible artists. so check em out if you feel so inclined.

i think this site is awesome and I'm glad i get to be a part of it for free! (as a poor university student that is awesome haha)
and i also love it if you have any recommendations for me.

I think you'll find we're plenty indie and modern 'round here, 'specially us regulars. ...can't say I much dig all the Bon Iver, though. Yuck.

I'm Jack, the site's token whore. Welcome aboard. CellarDoor is off-limits, I legally own him.

Hey! I love Bon Iver too! I'll be in Toronto the weekend of March 2nd. We should meet up and talk Bon Iver at Candlelight (they have the best brunch and the cleanest bathrooms!)! If we hit it off maybe we can go dancing at Fly or George's Play! PM me!

Welcome aboard...and please disregard what the two previous posters said.

Even though the average chart may seem to hold some of the old classic albums from the 60s and 70s in high regard, those of us who truly subscribe to that period of music are in a minority on these message boards. If you stick around you will soon find that those (like myself) who think the period between 1967 and 1975 was the highpoint of rock & roll music are even being made fun of. If you, on the other hand, think Radiohead, Neutral Milk Hotel, and Animal Collective are the greatest things since sliced bread you will be given a crown and a spire.

Whatever you chose, glad to have you around and don't be offended by the first person who is rude to you. They've likely gotten into the habit and everyone else around here don't even notice anymore.
