The idea of Ed miliband as our PM scares me and I reckon it's more likely than you think. Burnham I find quite unimpressive but from the sorry list of candidates you could draw up for Labour he might well be the best.
Talking of party leaders, it's pretty interesting all the speculation about Boris Johnson. I think the Cons will stick with Cameron because Johnson would be too big a risk but if Cameron loses the next election though that'll be it for him.
As for the Lib Dems there is no way I'd vote for Nick Clegg, he has to go before 2015. Tim Farron would be my pick but I could also bring myself to vote for Vince Cable. If only Paddy Ashdown was 15 years younger.

Paddy Ashdown is a traitor. People remember '83 as a massacre and mostly cite the Falklands and Foot's socialism, but the Labour/SDP split played a massive part. It took a chunk of the Labour vote. The cunt should've waited until after the election, but saw his own personal gain as more important than getting rid of Thatcher. I will never forgive him.
And yes, Burnham isn't anybody's ideal candidate, but he was the best of a bad bunch in the last leadership election (fucking Diane Abbott and the Miliband brothers make my blood boil). There's speculation about Gove being the next Tory leader if Cameron loses the election, but he has the same slimy qualities that made Howard unelectable. As for the Lib Dems, they have some serious grovelling to do. The are seriously unelectable under Clegg.
But regardless of my personal opinion on Ashdown, the three you mentioned would make for a far more interesting election. The current party leaders inspire (in the broadest sense of the word) nothing but apathy.
Well we're talking well before my time here, I understand what happened but it's hard to see the context. Don't think Labour really had a chance though that was the main reason for the split. I'd blaim Foot for not being able to keep his party in one piece more than anyone. Agree to disagree I suppose.

Libdems need to find some backbone and get rid of Clegg in good time before 2015. Funnily enough it's Ashdown who's keeping him where he is. I seriously think that at Ashdown decided to back someone like Tim Farron for leadership it would happen just like that, the party practically worships him. Anyway, came here to talk about the new Police and Crime Commissioners, wanted to get some opinions.
Personally I think it's a massive waste of time and money but that's not the main reason why I think they're a bad idea. What will happen is former politicians with no experience of policing will be doing a job they know nothing about and pursuing populist Daily Mail type agendas to win votes. Why the fuck do we want candidates endorsed by big political parties in charge of our police, why do we want politics and policing muddled up?
They'll be completely illegitimate also considering turnout is predicted to be about 20% (I'm not voting as a protest). _________________ Shut up mate you're boring!

Completely agree with what I bolded. Then again, the police have proved that they can hardly be trusted when it comes to promoting from within themselves. I don't know the inner workings of police forces, but it does often seem - from the outside looking in - that they tend to promote people with more interest in protecting their employees than in policing the streets. We know that they are an inherently racist and homophobic workforce, and we also know that large parts of the force are extremely corrupt - yet there has always been a default defense mechanism within the force to cover up their problems in favour of admitting them and attempting to change. Will electing commissioners change this? Probably not, and as you stated there is a large chance that we'll be replacing people that parts of the public don't trust with people who are downright incompetent and still probably untrustworthy. Is that an improvement? Probably not. Either way, the turnout will be extremely low. I honestly don't know one person who's planning on voting.
