Thatcher was a fiscal conservative, gun control and abortion have nothing to do with socialism. She didn't support 'socialised medicine' either. She shifted the UK further to the right than any PM before or since, even by US standards she is right wing, just not crazy socially conservative right wing.

I'm not arguing this point, which I find questionable anyway, just that her death will have zero impact on UK politics and the direction the UK heads in. As in, I'm not questioning her legacy, merely that her power to influence what went on in the UK immediately prior to her death, was zero, and we carry on as we were.
